A Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body to the Pastor. It serves to relay concerns of the parish to him and fosters communications to and from the Pastor and parishioners. Members listen to and provide suggestions to promote the functioning and spiritual development of the parish.
The council at St. Mary consists of the pastor, the parochial vicar, and 13 parishioners. Membership is through nomination followed by a discernment process which culminates on Pentecost Sunday. Members meet monthly and serve a 3-year term.
Minutes from the most recent meetings can be found here. Note that because minutes of one month’s Council meeting need to be approved at the following meeting, minutes are available one month after the meeting.
