“Signed with the gift of the Spirit in Confirmation, Christians more perfectly become the image of their Lord and are filled with the Holy Spirit. They bear witness to him before all the world and eagerly work for the building up of the body of Christ.”
Vatican Council, Decree on the Church’s Missionary Activity
Confirmation at St. Mary normally takes place during 8th grade following two years of preparation, but adults may also be confirmed at the Easter Vigil as part of the R.C.I.A process. Like Baptism and Eucharist, it is a Sacrament of Initiation for Catholics and a Sacrament of faith in God’s fidelity to us.
Please contact Jeannette Stone at the Parish School of Religion Office at 440-286-6531 for further information regarding Confirmation preparation or the Parish Office at 440-285-7051 for further information regarding the R.C.I.A. process.
